(Deutsch:) Anlässlich der exklusiv auf Anis Online erscheinenden Fotostrecke „The Nazi Puppet Collection“ (NPC) ist ein allgemeines Wort zum Thema Nationalsozialismus und Kunst angebracht. Das NPC-Projekt ist im Werk des Urhebers A. eingebettet in eine umfassende künstlerische Auseinandersetzung mit der faschistischen Vergangenheit (FV), die vor der Fotostrecke ihren Ausdruck bereits in diversen Satiren, Liedern, Büchern, Bildern und Kündigungen fand. Die NPC ist dem bekannten Schauspieler Charles Chaplin gewidmet, der ebenfalls auf diesem Gebiet gearbeitet hat.

Die Darstellung des Themas Nationalsozialismus in der Kunst ist ein alter Hut und eigentlich heutzutage nicht sonderlich interessant. Provozieren kann man damit jedenfalls nicht mehr. Das hat den Skulpturisten A. und seine Star-Fotografin S. allerdings nicht von der Unternehmung abgehalten, denn als echter Künstler muss er sich an die Gegebenheiten seiner betriebseigenen Biorhythmen halten und darf praktisch überhaupt keine Rücksichten auf den Zeitgeist oder die Modediktate der Ostküste nehmen.

Als Symbol für den Verlust von Individualität wurde der Werkstoff Holz für die NPC gewählt, der der Leblosigkeit und Gesichtslosigkeit der Nazi-Ideologie entspricht, zusätzlich verfremdet durch die Abstraktionsebene der Fotografie, was die Aussage vermittelt, dass es sich bei allem nur um eine Illusion, um ein Bild des Bildes handelt – eine leise, aber hörbare Referenz an den ausgehenden Postdekonstruktivismus. Die zum Teil fast humoristisch zu nennenden Details, die klug dosiert in die NPC eingearbeitet sind, verleihen der Kollektion eine gewisse ironische Distanz und lockern das ansonsten eher nüchterne, düstere und unheimliche Thema auf. Entsprechend der hier behandelten Epoche wurden die Fotos in den authentischen Farben Schwarz und Weiß aufgenommen. Sie wurden in einem umständlichen Prozess in Trash-Art umgewandelt, damit sie mit der inhärenten Ordnung der ideologischen Kernidee des Nationalsozialismus kontrastieren können.

Nachdem in der Anfangsphase der Schöpfung der NPC – am 16.03.2002 gegen 15.37 Uhr – die Figur des Standard Nazi kreiert war, minimalistisch dargestellt durch das Heben des rechten Holzarms, lotete der Künstler die Möglichkeiten des Sujets aus in den Bildern Reluctant Nazi, Nazi in Disguise, Nazi in Love und Drunken Nazi – gegen 15.52 Uhr –, um sich dann etwa um 16.10 Uhr zum fulminanten Finale aufzuschwingen mit den gereiften Exponaten: Homosexual Nazi, Yo-Yo Nazi, Nazi in the Wind, Guilty Nazi und Shot Nazi. Auf dem siebten Bild (Homosexual Nazi) ist der Text etwas undeutlich. Das nicht ganz lesbare Wort heißt: Nazi. Beachten Sie auch die surrealistischen Licht-Effekte auf dem Schlussbild „Shot Nazi“, die eine leise Ahnung von der Bandbreite der Grafikerin, Fotografin und Schamanin S. vermitteln.

Die NPC ist als Wanderausstellung konzipiert worden, und zwar speziell für die Sparkassen und Schwesternheime der ländlichen Gebiete Schleswig-Holsteins und Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns. (English:) "The Nazi Puppet Collection (NPC)" is a photo exhibition appearing exclusively on Anis Online. In this introduction you find a general word on the subject of National Socialism in the world of art. The NPC project is imbedded in the work of the artist A. in the frame of a comprehensive artistic confrontation with the Fascist Past (FP) which before the photo exhibition found expression in diverse satires, songs, books, drawings, and notices to leave. The NPC is dedicated to the known actor Charles Chaplin, who also had worked in this department.

National Socialism has been object to the world of art for ages now and is not specifically exciting anymore. So it cannot serve the purpose of provocation, too. A circumstance which, however, could not prevent sculpturist A. and his star photographer S. from accomplishing the enterprise, for as a true artist he has to stick to the biological realities of his own rhtythms and fields of imagination, in a way that he practically cannot have any consideration for zeitgeist phenomena or the fashion dictates from the East Coast.

The loss of individuality which accords with the lifelessness and facelessness of the Nazi ideology, is symbolized in the NPC by the selected raw material, which is wood, and additionally alienated by the dimension of photographic abstraction which conveys the statement that the whole display is but an illusion, the image of an image – a low-voiced, but audible reference to post-deconstructivism. Some of the intarsic details of the NPC can almost be called humoristic. Those elements, cleverly woven into the whole ensemble, give the collection a certain ironical distance and brighten up the somewhat sober, sinister, and uncanny matter to some degree. According to the historical epoch at hand, the authentic colors black and white were chosen for the photographing. In a complicated procedure, the pictures were transformed into trash art, to make them contrast with the inherent order of the ideological essence of National Socialism.

After having finished the Standard Nazi puppet in the starting period of the creation of the NPC – on March 16, 2002, at about 3.37 p.m. – minimalistically defined by a raised wooden arm –, the artist went to discover the possibilities of the subject matter in the pictures: Reluctant Nazi, Nazi in Disguise, Nazi in Love and Drunken Nazi – at about 3.52 p.m. –, and then brandished into an overwhelming finale at about 4.10 p.m. with the mature master pieces: Homosexual Nazi, Yo-Yo Nazi, Nazi in the Wind, Guilty Nazi, and Shot Nazi. On the seventh picture (Homosexual Nazi) the text is a little blurred. The illegible word is: Nazi. Do not miss to pay attention to the surreal special effects on the final piece "Shot Nazi", which gives you a faint idea of the artistic scope of illustrator, photographer, and lady-shamane S.

The NPC is planned as a touring exhibition, especially for the saving-banks and the nurse hostels in the rural areas of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
