(Deutsch:) Am 24.03.2010 war Noam Chomsky in Mainz und hat über ein linguistisches Thema an der Uni gesprochen. Der Hörsaal war brechend voll. Im Anschluss hatte ich die Gelegenheit, ihm meine Palästina-Postkarten zu geben und die CD mit dem Song „Gaza on My Mind“, in dem ich ihn genannt habe (siehe den Eintrag auf der Free-Gaza-Song-Contest-Seite). Ich bewundere Noam wegen seiner leisen Art, laut zu sein, und wegen der Dinge, die er sagt und macht. Ich habe ihn als freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Menschen kennen gelernt. (English:) On 24 March 2010, Noam Chomsky was in the City of Mainz and gave a speech on a linguistic subject at the university. The lecture hall was crammed. Afterwards I had the opportunity to give him my Palestine postcards and the CD with the song "Gaza on My Mind", where I mentioned him (see the respective entry on the Free Gaza Song Contest page). I admire Noam for his calm way of being loud and for the things he says and does. I experienced him as a friendly and supportive individual. (Deutsch:) Das Foto oben hat Tobi Paldauf im Zentralstudio in Mainz am 21.10.2010 gemacht, als ich den Trailer zum Kabarett-Stück "Der Palästina-Express" aufnahm. Ausschnitte daraus habe ich auf Bühnen vorgetragen, zum Beispiel in Köln für Evelyn Hecht-Galinski, siehe unten. Das Programm hat sich je nach der aktuellen Entwicklung verändert. Nur die inzwischen sechs Palästina-Songs waren immer zentral.
(English:) Tobias Paldauf from the Zentralstudio in Mainz took the photo above on October 21, 20010, when I recorded the trailer of the cabaret piece "The Palestine Express". I used material from it on stage, for examlple in Cologne for Evelyn Hecht-Galinski, see below. The program was constantly changing, according to the political developments. Only the meanwhile six Palestine songs remained at the center.

(Deutsch:) Bei einer Veranstaltung mit Reuven Moskovitz in Hamburg am 21.09.2013 in Hamburg. Ich war glücklich, Reuven nach vielen Jahren wiederzusehen und mit ihm auf der Bühne zu stehen. Links rezitiere ich „Luqa der Reisende“ aus „Die Dichter“ vor etwa zweihundert Leuten. Natürlich hat Reuven auch auf seiner berühmten Mundharmonika gespielt. Die Fotos des großen Events machte die Hamburger Fotografin Birgit Küster.
(English:) Event with Reuven Moskovitz in Hamburg on 21 Sep. 2013. I was happy to see Reuven again after many years and to be on stage with him again. (Deutsch:) Im Café Awake in Mainz (Fotos rechts und links) spielte ich am 1. Mai 2014 im Rahmen der Ökumenischen Versammlung: „Wie kommen wir zu einer solidarischen Ökonomie? Durchbruchspunkte und Strategien“ (Akademie für Solidarische Ökonomie). Es gab Referate und Diskussionen, die ich jede Viertelstunde mit einem passenden Song oder einer gereimten Geschichte begleitete. Sechs Wochen später war eine ähnliche Veranstaltung in Heidelberg. MrMarxismo hat beides gefilmt und auf YouTube hochgeladen. In der Jukebox und der Litbox von Anis Online kann man die einzelnen Stücke anklicken und hören. Die Leute von der Solidarischen Ökonomie sind mir sehr sympathisch und ich habe mich bei ihnen wohlgefühlt.

(English:) May 1st, 2014, I played in the Café Awake in Mainz (photos left and above) at the event: "How do we reach an economy of solidarity?" (Akademie für Solidarische Ökonomie). I accompanied the talks and discussions about every quarter of an hour with a matching song or rhymed story. Six weeks later, there was a similar event in Heidelberg. MrMarxismo filmed both and uploaded the videos on YouTube. In the Jukebox and the Litbox of Anis Online you can see them. The people from the Solidarische Ökonomie are very sympathetic, and I felt well with them.

(Deutsch:) Am 24.05.2014 mit Wisam Zureik in der Kartäuserkirche Köln, veranstaltet von Suraya Hoffmann (oben rechts). Wisam zeigte seinen Film „Woher kommst du?“ über das Leben der palästinensischen Minderheit in Israel. Ich machte eine halbe Stunde Programm, unter anderem mit Auszügen aus "Die Dichter".
(English:) On 24 May 2014 with Wisam Zureik in the Kartäuser Church in Cologne, organized by Suraya Hoffmann (above on the right). Wisam showed his film "Where do you come from?" (in German) about life of the Palestinian minority in Israel. I had half an hour of program and recited, among other things, excerpts from "Die Dichter" (The Poets).
